Walmart is running a deal, while supplies last, for a Free $5 Walmart Gift Card wyb an Elsa or Anna Disney Infinity Figure.
Thanks, I Heart the Mart!
Great way to save on this product and turn around and use the gift card for another purchase!
Every year I get asked about some gift ideas that don’t cost a lot for boys. Here area few ideas for this year:
Stick Storm Classic Game for $6.98. We’ve given this one as a gift to several boys and been told later it had become a favorite! Great price-point!
Hover Ball for $12.99. May be cheaper at Walmart/Walgreens, etc. Comes in blue and green (or pink for girls). This is a fairly new item but looked interesting and is a good price.
Ultra Stomp Rocket for $14.50. Whenever we take ours to the park, we tend to gather a crowd of eager kids wanting to try it out.
Nerf N-Strike Elite: Strongarm Blaster for $12.88. So many Nerf guns to choose from. Just watch for the best price on your favorite one.
For Books: The Everything Kids’ Science Experiments Book: Boil Ice, Float Water, Measure Gravity-Challenge the World Around You! for $6.69. 5,000 Awesome Facts (About Everything!) (National Geographic Kids) for $11.97, Laugh-Out-Loud Jokes for Kids for $2.99 or any great new chapter book that’s appropriate for their current reading level! Pair the science book with the POOF-Slinky – Scientific Explorer My First Mind Blowing Science Kit if you want to spend more on a gift set.
You usually can’t go wrong with Legos, Super Hero/TMNT figures, Hot Wheels, Star Wars, etc. types of things. iTunes gift cards are usually a good thing, too!
When you get to the tween and pretween ages, good luck! I usually go with gift cards for my nephews or the coolest looking gadget/game that just came out. I sometimes will pool together money with my siblings for a larger gift card (iTunes, Barnes & Noble, Target for games) or for one of those expensive video games they want.
And for the younger boys:
Green Toys Recycling Truck is priced at $18.49 but it will usually drop during the holidays to $15 or below.
Melissa & Doug Pizza Party for $15.69. Again this one will drop during the holidays.
Wreck-It Ralph, The LEGO Movie , Cars , Toy Story, The Land Before Time or How to Train Your Dragon DVDs. All should be $15 or below during holiday sales. Find a DVD on sale and pair a little item with it such as a hot wheel, small dinosaur, dragon, mini Lego set, etc. for a gift set if you are spending more.
Other ideas are Hot Wheels, Dinosaurs, Legos (larger sized), board games, trucks (trucks and more trucks!) and musical toys. LeapFrog toys/gift cards are usually good, too! Just make sure everything is age-appropriate.
These are just a few ideas. Most girls will love these things, as well, but I was just gearing the post towards boys as that’s what I get asked about the most.
What types of gifts are/were your boys’ favorites?
Disclaimer: Prices are at time/date of post. They could be higher/lower when you view them. Please be sure to verify the current price before purchasing!!
Walmart has the Disney Doc McStuffins On the Go Erasable Activity Table Set on rollback for $20, down from $59.98.
*It includes table, 2 padded chairs and 3 dry erase markers
*Large erasable surface for sketching
*Chairs have a recommended weight limit of 70 lbs
These folding table sets are wonderful! We own two and had them for years. They’ve held up very well! What I like about them is that they are foldable so you can easily store them. We put two together and use them for the kids’ table section at all our parties. They love that they have their own exclusive eating area.
Walmart has the Guess Who Game marked down to $4.88. You can choose free store pick-up to save on shipping.
Ordering from Amazon? They also have the Guess Who Game for the same price, as they are price-matching, as an add-on item for orders $25+.
Use this for a game/movie night basket or a donation to the needy!
One of the events on Zulily today, 11/21/14 is an Anamalz event. These are wooden and bendable toys. Several animals to choose from. A few of them are selling out already. I hope you get them before they are gone.
A little about these:
Designed in Australia and made from maple wood, anamalz’s ingenious, award-winning toys know how to have fun. The business’s playthings are made with safe paints and formaldehyde-free fabrics, and the waste wood produced is later used to grow mushrooms! These well-designed toys can be bent into dozens of funny poses, inspiring imaginative play with true personality.
