Giveaway: $15 Amazon Gift Card – 3 Winners!

May 23, 2013

operation-dinner

My friend Lori from Momsbyheart.net has released her new ebook called, “Operation Dinner: How to Plan, Shop & Prep for Easy Family Meals” and it’s selling for $5.99 on Amazon. I bought this the first day it was released and read it in its entirety right away. It’s well-written, which makes it an easy read, but it’s full of so much helpful information. The book is set-up to teach you how to get several wonderful meals made for your family in little time. She teaches you about meal planning, freezer cooking, how to organize your kitchen and shares several recipes for each category of meat; such as beef, chicken and pork. She also goes into prep for fruits, vegetables, slow cooker recipes and even some special diet needs. There are even a few recipes for making your own mixes and sauces.

I have been freezer cooking for years now. I find that while it may take some time to plan out a freezer cooking session that the time is well worth it when you don’t have to cook for a week, or even a month. If you’ve been wanting to give it a try, this is a great book to help you get started.

family-traditions-ebook

Lori is running a promotion on her book until 5/30/13 that if you buy “Operation Dinner: How to Plan, Shop & Prep for Easy Family Meals,” you can also get a free copy of her other ebook, “Create Your Own Family Traditions: Over 70 Ideas for Making Lasting Memories.” (If you do buy it by then, make sure you read on her site how to get the other ebook for free. There’s a link there to the Operation Dinner ebook, too!)

I wanted to be able to share Lori’s new ebook with my readers so I am running this giveaway for 3 of my readers that win it to get a $15 Amazon Gift Card. This will be enough to even cover the paperback version, should they choose it. If you are planning on entering the giveaway, make sure your entries are on this post only. 216 Mary Smith May 26, 2013 at 5:52 am

Yes I actually spent money to purchase a cookbook to obtain recipes for freezer cooking in one day for a whole month. I invited my girlfriends over who pitched in on the groceries so we could all benefit from the recipes.

I do a variation on freezer cooking. We have a small family so sometimes I make a whole batch of something that is too much for us to eat at once, so I’ll freeze enough for another meal. I also often freeze baked goods.

Thanks for the giveaway!

235 Kim May 26, 2013 at 4:33 pm

Completely in LOVE with freezer cooking! Woo-hoo! There are not many meals I don’t freeze; burritos, bbq, ziti pasta, garlic bread, cooked pasta noodles, soups, casseroles, etc. The list goes on and on!

236 Carol May 26, 2013 at 4:34 pm

Honestly, I have never heard of freezer cook but I’m guessing it means cooking all your meals and freezing it until you want to use it

I have never tried freezer cooking, but with two little ones, the time saving aspect might be worth it. I’d like to give it a try.

249 mari May 26, 2013 at 9:53 pm

I always cook chicken breast in large batches in the oven. I cook until almost done and then slice, dice and chop. I lay on large sheet to freeze and then put in zip lock bags. I also cook soup and freeze some, always a good selection in the freezer. I cook sweet potatoes, mash and freeze 1/2 cup portions. I can get dinner on the table in less than 15 minutes! I’ll also freeze sliced cake so that I always can pull something out for company. I love my freezer! Cheers
