One of my goals for this year is make a better effort of making homemade bread–and all sorts of other baked goods. I dabbled with a few loaves last year but got busy and it fell out of my routine. One of the best smells is walking into a room that’s filled with that fresh homemade bread scent. I can’t help myself but to dive into the loaf almost as soon as it’s out of the oven and practically burning my fingers while trying to cut it. (Admit it, it’s hard not to do that! lol)
My friend Sandy from FrugallyThrifty.net posted a recipe yesterday about Making Homemade Bread. What I like about her recipe is that it’s very versatile and can be altered into several forms such as dinner rolls, hamburger buns, hot dog buns etc.
I’m hoping that if you are like me, with a goal of moving more towards homemade bread, that you’ll check out her post with the recipe. You will probably find that over time, making your own breads/rolls/buns can help save you some money on your budget–no need to buy multiple packs if you can use the same recipe for all of them!
