I wanted to remind you all that the limited edition Lorax-Themed menu items at IHOP ends on March 31, 2012. This is a great way to enjoy a special meal after taking your kids to the movie or even just reading the book.

My kids have been bugging me to take them there after they saw my last posting on this. We decided to make it our family outing for the week. The kids had a blast eating the special items and they each also received a bookmark with seeds to plant. That will give us another fun activity to do on a later day.

What I like about IHOP is that they have “Simple & Fit” items on their menu that are under 600 calories. It can be so hard to eat healthy when at a restaurant so I love the extra effort on their part to help me find better meal options.

IHOP has generously offered me a $25 IHOP Gift Card to give to two lucky readers that win this giveaway. While they won’t receive the gift card before the Lorax promotion is over, they might be able to turn this into a fun family outing.
