Another “re-using/recycling” idea: If you are looking for a very simple way to make a gingerbread house, you can use a cleaned out small milk carton as your foundation for the house. Use some graham crackers, candies, marshmallows, pretzels, candy canes, frosting, etc to give it a yummy look. These are so small that the kids have an easier time making their own versions:
