Giveaway: Christmas Lodge DVD – 2 Winners

November 4, 2011

UPDATE: This giveaway has ended. Winners will be announced soon!

I was given the opportunity to watch and review Christmas Lodge on DVD. Here’s a little info about the movie:

Thomas Kinkade presents Christmas Lodge: a place where a heart-warming past and loving future meet for one remarkable group of people. During a weekend trip to the mountains, Mary (Erin Karpluk) finds herself at the now-dilapidated lodge where she spent the holidays with her family growing up. She becomes determined to restore the building to its former glory. Inspired by her grandfather and guided by her grandmother in heaven, Mary throws herself into the project, and during the process finds herself drawn to Jack (Michael Shanks), a handsome man who loves the lodge as much as she does. Historically unlucky in love, this chance encounter allows Mary to renew her faith in life and discover her one true love. For an uplifting story about the importance of faith, family and the true holiday spirit, go to the Christmas Lodge.

This is such as a great description of the movie, that I couldn’t resist quoting them. I have to say it was so nice to curl up with a movie that was just real clean-cut and focused so much on the importance on faith, family and memories. After watching this, I kind of wanted to find a “Christmas Lodge” around here as a spot to take my family each year during the holidays. I love creating memories and new family traditions that my kids might share with their own families one day.

This giveaway is for a copy of The Christmas Lodge for two lucky winners.

Each christmas Day we would spend it tubing down Mt. St. Helens and eating chili and hot chocolate – this was before Mt. St. Helens decided to become an active volcano

My favorite Christmas memory was the year my younger triplet sisters got trikes and I knew because I had peeked. I loved their surprise as I knew to watch for it.

Just having the whole family be together…we all live so far away so it is such a special time for us.

My favorite family memory is the one Christmas we managed to gather the kids, grandkids, parents, nieces, & nephews for a great family meal & gift giving. It was the most hectic & the most enjoyable Christmas we ever had.

I remember one holiday where all of my cousins and I bundled up in our snow gear and cleared an area of ice so we could play games, skate, and just have fun sliding around. It was total chaos and so much fun!

My favorite family memory is the Christmas of 2000 my husband surprised me with a diamond ring I had been wanting for a long time. The first ring box I opened, was a fake ring from a $0.25 machine that he spent $0.75 to win. LOL It was so ugly. I was in shock when I opened that box and saw how ugly that little ring was… thinking to myself, this is it… he got me the ring I really wanted. All the while, he had the diamond ring hid in another box within the Christmas tree branches. =) Best memory yet!

My favorite chirstmas memory is when my nephews, nieces and I were very young ( I would say between the ages of 4 through 8) my sister recorded us all singing a favorite song. We still listen to our younger selves when we get together at holiday time. So much fun and can’t believe it was so long ago.

I subscribe to coupon geek emails. Love the coupons and interesting articles. Christmas is my favorite time of the year. My family and I love watching good clean movies with a bowl of fresh cooked popcorn. This past Christmas we awoke to about 10 inches of snow, which is unheard of in Alabama! We played, built a snowman, and built a fire to keep warm while outside. We didn’t (couldn’t) go anywhere, and were thankful for a fun, peaceful day. We topped the day off with hot chocolate, good food, games, movies, and popcorn. I would love to be a winner of this DVD for the upcoming Cheistmas season!
