As I mentioned earlier, there’s a $1/2 Mars Candy Coupon on Coupons.com right now. Here’s one idea for using it NEXT WEEK starting 4/10/11:
Snickers Eggs for $.29 – buy 2
*Use $1/2 Mars Candy Coupon
FINAL PRICE = Free
Now Walgreens doesn’t allow overage so you’ll have to get a “filler” item to bring your total up to $1. Or here’s another easier way:
Snickers Eggs for $.29 – Buy 4
*Use $1/2 Mars Candy Coupon
FINAL PRICE = $.16 for four–makes them $.04 each.
Thanks, She Saved!
Another cheaper addition to an Easter Basket! Remember, that deal doesn’t start until next week. Don’t forget about the cheap Skittles deal that you can grab now at Target.

When did they stop accepting overages? I used the $1.00 off wonka coupons recently…and i had to “buy” more wonka bars because of the overages I had. The bars were .79…I had 5 bars with 5 coupons and it wouldnt accept my 5th coupon, because the overages covered the 5th bar…so I went and got another one for free…lol
My wording was weird. You get the overages, just not in cash. You have to buy a “filler” item.
OK…lol…u had me worried…lol
LOL…sorry. Didn’t mean to scare you.
A lot of new couponers to the site so I was trying to tell them about filler items and an easier scenario to not scare them away from couponing.
Understandable…I’m new too…lol…but I have been saving alot of money…and am getting better and better as time goes by!
I am brand new to shopping at Walgreens.. I was wondering how the “overage” wroked as well. This was the first site Google sent me to.. You answered my question! Thank you soo much! (I will be back!)
Deal doesn’t work, you have to spend 10$ to get the register reward, in the ad it has to be the hershey’s candy though it can’t be the mars brand, and not only that the register reward I got was 5$ off hershey’s candy, not off anything in the store, needless to say it was a nightmarish trip to walgreens!!
Suzie,
I’m confused. My deal scenario stating nothing about Register Rewards. It was just for the eggs that are on sale for $.29.

The walgreens I go to says that they can only give me the price that the item is for sale at. So I would only be able to get 2 still with the coupon. There policy even says “In the event that any item’s selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons.” How is it that you get around this? I would love to know
I’m actually not familiar with Walgreens since they changed their policies. I don’t shop there just because mine tend to be crabby with couponers.
I’ll check into it for you.
