Giveaway: Zumba Fitness for Wii

As far as fitness this week, I didn’t do too bad. But I had the cutest little coaches to motivate me–my kids! I used to try to exercise when they were napping or after they’d go to sleep at night. But this last week, I tried to include them in as much as I could.

We spent part of the week doing Zumba Fitness on the Wii and the other half getting in a little soccer on the nicer days outside. We picked up a soccer ball and small net for $16 at Target and it was truly a great investment. They are forcing me to chase them all around the yard–it ends up being more like a game of keep-away than soccer– but as long as you have fun, it doesn’t matter if you are following any rules of the game. And our Zumba time is me doing the steps and them making up their own moves. It’s so cute!

And here are some reasons they were great motivators: They would always say, “Just 5 more minutes, Mommy” anytime I’d want to stop–making me select another Zumba routine or do another round of soccer. Also, my son would say to me in the morning, “Mommy, don’t you have to dance today?” forcing me to make time for exercising that day.

So while there will be several times when I want to work out alone, in peace, I’m enjoying not only getting in some exercise but also spending time with my kids. It’s so important to me that they see me taking care of my health as I’m hoping it will pave a strong foundation for them to follow that same path as they get older and make more of their own choices.

Had a good week for fitness this past week. Rode my bike mostly everyday and did Just Dance 2 with every night!!! Love it!

My fitness this week has gone pretty well. I’m currently walking the dog 35 mins after college around the lake. At least its a start.

I wish I had had a good week for fitness. I really struggle to find something I enjoy and can stick to and would want to make sure I found time for. I REALLY need to discover something I love. Having more than 100 pounds to shed is difficult and overwhelming. The funny thing is, once I get started exercising and start to break a sweat I enjoy it! Go figure!

I put in 200 minutes of exercise this past week. I am competing in a biggest loser competition at work and I lost 2.5 pounds this week! I think Zumba dance would be a great workout!!

Honestly and sadly I didn’t exercise any last week.. no I take that back… me and my daughter went to the park and then we got some exercise by walking through wal-mart!!

My exercise has been null. I seem to be so busy I am so tired at the end of the day I just don’t want to do anything. I guess I should try doing it before I go out in the morning.

I usually get to jog for cardio but the cruddy Wyoming weather of snow in the spring has locked me down to the Wii Fit routine. A little hard when it is not continuous and you have to keep switching to another exercise with the remote.

I walked 3 miles 3 times last week. I tried Dancing With the Stars dvd for the first time and I really enjoyed it.

I was able to exercise 6 hours last week! Walking the kids to school, walking in the evenings and weekends. I even took the kids to the park and played a little basketball with them!

Doing horrible when it comes to getting exercise in. Except for spending an entire day gardening, I haven’t done much this past week. Zumba sounds fun!!!

I didnt exercise last week. But I have tried Zumba on the Wii and I love it!! I think it would be a great home workout! I am a facebook fan!
