I’ve come to find that one way to get me motivated to workout is to find some sort of games that involve dancing. I guess this is because the kids can join in and I don’t have to struggle to find the time to get in my workouts without them.
I had planned to giveaway a copy of Just Dance and I was so happy to see so many of you request it when I asked what giveaways you’d like to see for the Fitness Themed Month in April. But I started to think that several of you might already have this one so I want to give the winner their choice of Just Dance, Just Dance 2 or Just Dance Kids. This one is a winner’s choice for the prize.
I’m hoping that you’ll be able to find your own ways to squeeze in a little fitness this week, even if you just take Time for 10. Taking care of yourself so you can possibly live a longer life is the best gift you can give to your family.

I do squats and work with weights during commercials during my favorite shows to squeeze in extra time.
I walk every day to take my kids to school and pick them up! Squeezing in extra walking whenever I can!

I have my kids run loops around the yard with me so we all get some exercise and they think its the best racing game.
I have 3 small children and workout time is hard to fit into my schedule. What have done is jog around the living until i have completed a mile and jumping jacks. It is not much but doing something is better than sitting on the couch.

I missed an important step – and it doesn’t look like I can edit a comment – so I will do it here.
I squeze in exercise by having fun on the Wii. I like to use the balance board with the WiiFit games, as well as using the Just Dance game. I have actually found that the Just Dance exercises wear me out a lot more – but the Wii balance board games really burn my calves and sometimes my core. We also like to do a family walk on a local trail (dogs and all) on the weekends.

I go to the gym and take a Yin Yoga class twice a week.
I have two children who are 2 years old and less. When I’m not able to take them outside, I try to turn household chores into workouts by doing simple things like putting on some music to get me dancing and my heart pumping. I also dance to cartoons with my kids!
