24 Hour Giveaway: Seventh Generation Laundry Products

Some detergents have optical brighteners in them which coat clothing and convert ultraviolet light into visible light. For this reason, the military bans use of detergents with optical brighteners. But the Seventh Generation line of detergents are free of optical brighteners. They are also plant-based, non-toxic, and free of phosphates.

MyBlogSpark sent me a sample pack of two tshirts, some Seventh Generation Laundry products and a mini black-light to do my own testing. I was to wash one tshirt in my regular detergent and the other in the Seventh Generation one. You can see my results below:

The one on the left is my detergent and the one on the right is the Seventh Generation one. You can see my normal detergent made my clothes basically glow under the black light. I found that almost disturbing.

I’ve been a fan of several of the Seventh Generation products, especially their diapers, so it doesn’t surprise me that their detergents are just as good.

Seventh Generation has offered me a prize pack through MyBlogSpark to giveaway to one lucky reader. It will include the Seventh Generation detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheets.
