As I mentioned a few weeks ago, my book pick for August was More-With-Less Cookbook. Not only is this a good cookbook, it’s also very informative about how/why to make more things homemade. It has inspired me to take a second look at what I’m buying at the store and asking myself if I can’t make those things at home. In the long-run, I’m finding that I am saving even more money by making things myself. Not only that, but it’s also made me take a look at how much we are eating overall and reducing our meals to make healthier portions.
Each month, not only do I choose a book to read but I also giveaway a book to two lucky readers.

I use a few websites more than my cookbooks lately- Eat Better America has been a recent use.
I actually get more recipes on line than in a book. Love recipes with pictures though.
I use Healthy in a Hurry cookbook.
The cookbook I use the most is one started by my grandmother years ago. It’s an old record book that I continually add to when I find a keeper recipe. Thanks for the chance!

I use good ole Betty Crocker (the red book). I got it for a wedding gift 12 years ago and still to this day it sits next to my stove and I use it all the time. I have “changed up” a few recipes, but for the most part it is my “go to” cookbook that never fails me! I also am in love with The Pioneer Woman Cooks – her food has been amazing, so if I want a great recipe for my family, I do a search through her website.
I would love to win this. Thanks for the chance.
I loved the Home Economics cookbook I had from high school (1962). It got ruined in a flood and I had to throw it away! I loved that book.

My most used cookbook is probably Good Housekeeping’s Step by Step Cookbook that my mom bought me when I said I needed one with more pictures! Mostly just look up recipes online now and all the lovely books sit on the bottom shelf with post-its hanging out of them….gotta start tackling those recipes. I’m thinking of just doing it one book at a time ala “julie and julia” that ought to keep me busy for the rest of my life!
