Giveaway: SeeHere 8×8 Pages and Stages Scrapbook

I mentioned earlier today about the promotion that SeeHere is running on July 1st and 2nd on their photo books. Well, they were so very kind to offer me one of their 8 x 8 Pages-in-Stages Scrapbooks to give away to one of my lucky readers this week, too.

Here’s the description of the item:

This unique book lets you combine SeeHere.com book pages with your scrapbook memorabilia… all in one book. Pages arrive unbound for you to tell your own story.

I haven’t started any scrapbooks for my kids yet but I’d really love to create one for each of them someday. They have such cute materials for them now at the craft stores.

OUr most memorable family outing so far has been when we took our son to the zoo for the 1st time on his 1st birthday (june 11th). He LOVED IT! The pictures really tell the story. Apparently, the goats in the petting zoo were his favorite. SO CUTE!

Coming from a pretty poor family, we never had family holidays. Except once, we loaded up my dads wagon, the 5 of us, a suitcase full of food and our tatty old bikes on the roof and drove for a few hours to the seaside where we stayed in a cottage belonging to my dads friend – we got sunburnt, built sandcastles (there aren’t many half-decent beaches at home) and we even got ice cream (which was a huge deal at the time!), my dad also taught my mum how to ride a bike – which was hilarious for all of us to watch! LOL!

The most memorable trip with my 10 year old son was just a few weeks ago. He plays baseball for a select travel team and they had the AWESOME experience of playing in a tournament at Cooperstown Dreams Park (Cooperstown, NY) and being inducted into the youth baseball hall of fame. It is something that none of us will ever forget and it touched me to see that all my hard work as team mom raising the funds for the team to get to the tournament and for the regular season ($20k total for 2010). If I had the money to do it, I would make all 11 kids a scrapbook about this trip. I am already collecting photos to make a slideshow for them. I would love it if I won this giveaway, so I could make my son a scrapbook of memories that he will be able to share with his kids and grandkids one day.

My favorite memories were outings with my parents back in the day. We’d load the station wagon up with us three girls and take a day trip almost every weekend. Mt. Palomar (the observatory in California) was one of my favorites. Sure do miss my parents – and the trips.

My favorite family gatherings are our 4th of July weekends up in Port Austin MI. We go every year to my grandpa’s cottage. Sometimes there are only 10-15 of us sometimes the whole crew is there (35-40) We tent in the yard, BBQ, play a family game of wiffle ball, watch the parade and most of all we go to the best ice cream store of all time. Just about a mile up the road is the grindstone general store. They serve the best ice cream for such a low price. I’m heading up tomorrow morning and I can’t wait.

  24. Jolyne Dunn says

Hard to pick one favorite outing.
Last year took some of the grandchildren to Bennett Springs State Park for 5 days.
Great time. Stayed in a cabin with a huge front yard. We could walk to the springs for fishing. Ate in the dining lodge surrounded by hummingbird feeders outside the expansive windows. Never saw so many hummers in my life!
