
TIP #19 – Switch Your Dinner Plates To Smaller Plates
One of the best ways I’ve found to not eat as much is…don’t give yourself as much!
We seem to have it in our minds that we always need to finish everything on our plates and that we haven’t eaten a full meal unless our plates are brimming with food to begin with.
Well, one way to play a “mind game” on your brain is to switch to a smaller size plate! You can fill the plate full and get that feeling of eating a “plateful.” I use our appetizer plates for a lot of meals. Now, the ones that are super sloppy or require a knife for cutting, I use the regular plates. You’d be surprised at how much of a difference it can make! And the best part is, if you do decide to go back for “seconds,” you don’t feel quite so guilty!
By switching from dinner to smaller plates, you’ll eventually get into the habit of eating less and possibly lose a pound in the process!
